Mobi, Which department will you be in? Culture is good, can depend on department though. Progression depends on your ability and willingness to push yourself, not expected to be staying after 5 or anything like that. Pay is comparable to other mobile operators, bonus is average. Industry is in saturation so there are 2 ways of making more project - lowering costs / expenses or raising average revenue per user. Its not the latter... Work satisfaction varies across departments and can depend on the team you are in. If you give more info about the job / department I may be able to help more...

Worth noting their RAN share with 3UK, dependant upon where you would be working you may want to consider this and future implications (e.g. network outsourcing) in your decision.

Hi thanks for the comments so far. I am going to be working within IT/Technology. Don't think I will be affected by RAN stuff with 3 as I made it clear in the interview that's not my area of interest.

Sorry, meant to say make more profit in the earlier post... There is a strong drive for growth, however the money for new projects comes from savings elsewhere. Recent network sharing announcements with 3 have cut some RAN jobs, and outsourcing is taking place in other parts of the business... Which role did you apply for? Was it a graduate role etc...

Experienced hire - not to keen to say exact role as still in negotiations on salary and not too sure if I am going to take it yet. I am also being interviewed (final) at 02 next week.Any clue as to what it's like in IT/Tech?

Without knowing which area at least (within IT I mean) it would be hard to say. Progression is pretty much straight forward, there is a career development plan - up to you to chase it though, HR aren't the best to support it. Training is straight forward - if its relevant to your project, chances are you'll get it, but out of that scope, its pitiful. Culture is very friendly, there's no back-stabbing or trying to out do each other. There is the usual PR propaganda being passed down from management, it really depends on which area within IT/Tech you are in as to what the team are like - it can vary from being tutted if pack up at 4:50, or you can be the only one in at 4:45 while rest of team have gone home... Wouldn't want to say there are double standards, but each department has their own rules. As long as the work gets done though... Sorry I cant be more specific, but I would say it is a good firm to work for even if the industry is not growing as much as it once was.
