Hi Theo,I imagine it is possible at certain institutions like the British Council or the British Embassy. Anything else is difficult since German is the business language in...Germany :-)

If you Google something like "english speaking jobs in Germany" you'l get message boards and links to ex-pat websites where you can find some good advice. Its something i've looked into recently and i know that there are many english speaking work-environments over there in a range of industries.

Hi Alex, what makes you think that Germans are natiolalist people nowadays? Looking at history one could also assume that Brits are pirates ;-)

Try the European Central of Bank - They are based in Frankfurt and lack of German is never a problem - So thats your best bet, apart from the British Embassy and British Council. For other Germany based banks and companies, From what I have heard, it will be difficult but not impossible to fit-in, even if you manage to get a job

@Theo and AlexDoes it not make sense to speak the language of the you want to work in?I don't think one would have a big chance studying in France or the Netherlands withoutspeaking French or Dutch, it just does not make sense. You have to speak the same language ofyour clients in oder to communicate effectively with them and that is true for anyinternational company - act local , think global.JohnSmith

Hello again, obviously this is the norm, no doubt, as I said before i m probably looking for the exception here...still I don't think it is impossible, know a couple of people who have done it, not in Germany though i am afraid...
