Hello all,I have offers for both IT analyst at Cisco, and Analyst Consulting at Accenture. I'm looking to stay in IT consulting, but which would be the best start? Also, if I decide I want to do something else a bit further down the line, would the Cisco job see me more pushed down the technical side, whereas the Accenture one would give me a wider skill base?Any thoughts welcome - I'm struggling to decide (and I don't have long).I was really impressed by the culture and people I met at Cisco, but get the nagging feeling that ACN will be the safer job, in terms of exit and CV,Thanks

think you have answered the question yourself. for the very reason you stated, ACN will be a better option at this stage as you'd like to keep your net wide for later.Cisco might have a non-technical capability areas but the market place still perceives it to be a technical service provider. You'll have a wider array of career choices with ACN as they offer end to end services and are acknowledged by the market place as such. In the end, it's up to you but hope this helps.

obivously if you want to stay in IT consulting, ACN is the best option. Cisco is an infinitely better compay in just about every other sense.

Thanks for the replies. At the moment IT consulting is where I wanna be, but that could easily change a couple of years down the line.In what way do you mean Cisco is an infinitly better company?
