Cheers!

I think you're probably not too far off but SCs now start on about £55k once you include the benefits allowance, I believe. It may vary fom one service line to the next though, I have no idea.

Hello, green dot curious - did you get this offer by applying to Deloitte's graduate scheme via their website or did you apply through another method?

This made me smile, I am 3 years out of uni and earn the same as a manager in Deloitte (who's timescale to reach is unspecified) within industry (having worked in consulting for 2 years, not for Deloitte).Good to see I made the right decision to get out of this low paid, slow salary progression industry. Escape whilst you have the chance!

To be clear I used to work for PA within the Business Transformation Group (BTG).PA will take people with all kinds of degrees, so long as you fit what they are looking for. I personally did a business degree.I am definetly not a techie (!) work in corporate strategy and finance now.

There definitely are both Director and Senior Manager posts in Deloitte S&O. Other bits of the firm for the accountants do not have both, but in the case of consulting there are businesses cases and panels to go through at both stages for SM and Director. Certainly was an issue for those who moved from Corporate Finance to Consulting with the CDD team with an extra level inserted

Those scales seem about right, but I think partner is a steady increase (i.e. you don't start on £700k).Another thing to note is that I was a senior consultant in 3 years (not 5) - if you play the game right then there's definitely opportunity to move through the ranks more quickly than what they state in their literature.

I am at early stages of discussions with Deloitte about a possible role and keen to get a view on the right level for me. My background is in technology consulting sales (account management, proposals, sales strategy, etc.), managing large consulting practices (managing utilisation, P&L and commercial delivery responsibility) and, prior to that, some project management - I have around 15 years experience in consulting sales and management. They are talking to me about a senior manager level role and I think that this is driven by my basic salary (this is low compared to my overall earnings) - my feeling is that my experience aligns me more towards a director level role - is that fair? Could anyone please explain the differences of expectation at each of these levels? Also, my main skills are in selling and running a consulting business - how does that fit with the Deloitte model?
