I see that, one gets promoted from C1->C2->C3->M1-> M2 - > SM1 -> SM2 in accenture consulting (management or techology) as per information on this thread. But do generally all people get promoted this way, or this is only for hi-achivers. What is the general percentage of these high achievers. If one is normal performer (above average, but below outstanding) then how many years one has to stay at one grade ?Do any one of experts here has any insight on this. I am high performer, but do not know how Accenture culture and management will see my achievements during my initial years here...

Sorry one type...missed the important word - ONE YEAR. The first statement should be - I see that, one gets promoted from C1->C2->C3->M1-> M2 - > SM1 -> SM2 in accenture consulting (management or techology) in ONE YEAR as per information on this thread. So briefly, does it take normally more than one year at one grade ?

"If one is normal performer (above average, but below outstanding)"Surely your definition of 'normal performer' in brackets is intrinsically contradictory to the word 'normal'??

you'd be a consultant for 3 yrs (c1,c2,c3)then manager for 3 yrs (m1,m2,m3) and same for senior manager.occasionally folks do it quicker but rarely so.i hate all this time at level nonsense.

There is a distinction in terms: - Progression (movement within a level e.g. M2->M3). - Promotion (movement from one level to the next e.g. C -> M).Progression is automatic, promotion is assessed. Movement happens once a year (or at mid-year in exceptional cases). So in theory, these could happen: For exceptional performers, promoted in advance of time-at-level restrictions: - C1 -> C2 -> M1For those who meet time-at-level restrictions, and demonstrate performance at mgr level: - C1 -> C2 -> C3 -> M1For those who aren't quite performing at mgr level when they first meet time-at-level requiremnts: - C1 -> C2 -> C3 -> C4 -> M1 For those who are unable to perform at mgr level: - C1 -> C2 -> C3 -> C4 -> counselled outNot sure what the stats are about people making manager from C2, C3, or C4. Depends on how well the business is doing, how much demand there is, and money to promote people.
