I have accepted an offer for an entry-level position from a mid-tier strategy firm and am wondering how a potential recession might affect my job. Or will the effect be limited to bonuses? Also will non-EU nationals on work permits be the first to be affected?

Im in the exact same position and have the same worry....As new joiners to the firm, are we the first to be cut should it be necessary?

Expect some of the following:Sitting around a lotLess attractive projects and rolesLittle or no choice over projects/rolesTraining postponed/budget for training cut/MBA sponsorship programmes suspended, etc.Salary increases, promotions and bonuses cutHigh turnover and low spirits at all levelsPeople with sales responsibility (managers, partners, etc.) get tetchy and short-tempered

Ive already experienced the sitting around a lot and not getting on good projects. damn. this sucks
