Matalan are pretty good. £5 for two. Hardly anyone notices the difference.

Also, Which of them have a good collection of 14.5 or 37 size Shirts ? Thomas Pink's collection of 14.5 sucks - Hawes and Curtis get my vote. Any other recos ?

Lewins are run of the mill, standard fodder shirt never anything special, and they don't keep well looking old really quickly. The best thing about TM Lewin is they open early so you can buy a new shirt on the way back into the office after an accidental night away (for whatever reason you can think of that you wouldn't have been home). I like Thomas Pink... I hear their Personally Pink shirt service is pretty good. But probably Hawes & Curtis if looking for a good value day to day shirt.

When I got my 1st job in the UK, I did indulge myself into British branded shirts and occasional suit or tie. In retrospect, it was money badly spent. Really disappointed. First a note on the ridiculous double cuff. That is the note: It is ridiculous. Second, on the collar: usually too thick and boring. Pink shirts are simply horrible (and expensive). Lewin is boring (at least less expensive). H&Curtis: good quality but same design flaws. My best hits were from Gieves & H. Their collars are nice and trendy (from this millennium). But again many are double cuff. And best value for £ were some A. Reed Signatures on sale. I would really consider custom made, if I had time to experiment with different custom shirtmakers. For the time, I am sticking to e-shopping Italian makes.
