Hi,I have a question regarding final rounds at Bain in London, especially the written case study. Did everybody have the experience of that-- how to approach it, what is the level of difficulty, what are the key tips? Thanks in advance for your advice,C.

Work quickly, they give you a lot of stuff to read for the written case study, If i remember you have 30 mins to read it and get all your calculations done - there is quite a bit of maths to do during the time and you need to have it all nicely down pat when the interviewer comes in. The interviewer will help you out as you work through it during the interview - if you are on completely the wrong track they wont let you continue. If you want more details post an email address and i´d be happy to help further. Best of Luck!

Hello,Thks very much for the answer. It would be great if you could drop me an email with some additional details. How do you present your findings to the interviewer : 1. your diagnostic of the situation 2. your analysis of the data and the maths you have done 3. your recommendationsDo you need to have it like a PPT, one "page"/finding. Is it diff. to diagnose the pb or is it pretty straightforward?Any tips are welcome! Thanks againBest,C.

Does everyone get the same case study question or does it depend on applicants' background and/or targeted department within the company? I can't imagine someone with a degree in literature or geography handling the case studies with the same ease as those with a degree in business, finance, maths and etc.?

I work for a FTSE100 and I have contracted Bain to do some work. I would not worry too much about the case study - the standard of work there does not seem to be of the highest quality.I was particularly impressed with their various offices giving different recommendations in the UK and the US - that did not do a great deal for their credibility and communication. So don't worry you will ace that case...
