Executive £40-50kManager £50-60kSenior Manager £60-80kDirector £90k+PartnerBonuses - between nothing (or very little) and 10%Last I heard they had bizarrely renamed their managers as "consultants" and their senior managers as "senior consultants". Didn't go down very well, especially on the business card front.

How many years on average from Executive to Director? Moreover, how does the promotion process work at PwC?

Thanks Ex-PwCer. Just one other question - what kind of working hours do they realistically do at each grade (on average)? Also, would you say the work was sort of 'accountancy focused' by which I mean focusing on financials and audit type things?

Depends on locaton. London as above.NE/NW England about 25% less. NI about 40% less (disgrace)9-5.30, more when ramping up or go live.Accountancy work can be involved, but so can change management, cost management, MIS and more...Performance Development Review, 360 peer reviews and individual work reviews, at least once a year.Good luck.

If this is true then I am amazed. Do they really pay that little in comparison to other big-4? I'll be hanging around outside their offices with a placard trying to win myself some recruitment bounties then!

You can have my placard it you like; it's covered in rotten eggs and some frankly obscene drawings and messages from various people at PwC but otherwise it's in good condition. One careful owner. From now on I'm using a regimental banner showing Mars & Co consultants in various military uniforms playing with toy tanks.
