Hi. After an unfortunate series of events I ended this milkround with no offers. (bad idea of putting first choice US offices plus bad luck with an illness right in the middle of the interview period)I was wondering when is the earliest one can apply... both with the same companies I applied to already (mbbb and the like) and with some new companies (thinking big4).Also was wondering..Is there a summer milkround or do you have to go through the ususal milkround next year and wait for a whole year? p.s. graduating in junethanks

Most firms require you wait 1 year (until the next recruiting year) or until you can demonstrate a "significant change" in what you offer (skills, experience, etc.)Some firms do top-up graduate recruitment in spring and early summer if they haven't filled their quotas, but the majority of places (particularly for Tier 1 and 2 firms) are only released in the autumn milkround.Small and less well-known firms that do not follow a regular annual recruiting pattern may be more likely to advertise jobs in summer. My prediction is that the economy this year will hit those firms' graduate hiring most heavily though.

Does anyone know how strictly HR treat the 12month policy or do HR mean ‘do not apply approx a year on’ i.e. for graduates who apply for Sep '08 do not apply again until applications open again for the next grad scheme to begin in Sep '09?Because I applied for a firm in November '07 (for Sep ’08 start) and was told that applying in November is too late for that service-line (with all positions nearly filled) and I should seek to apply earlier. But they told me if I go to apply again next year I have to wait 12 months (until November '08) - meaning yet again I will be too late…again – it seems I cannot get out of this cycle!! Even though I would be ready to apply again in September...What can I do???Thanks in advance :)
