Hi,Like a poster below me in the forum I am considering applying for Deloitte's Enterprise Resource Planning service-line, as along with TI it is the only option left still open for Consulting [Grad Level] (FYI: This is known as Enterprise Applications in Deloitte)...Therefore, before I make my application I just wanted to find out a few things - can someone give me an insight into:- What exactly this service-line entails? - Examples of the type of work/projects I would be involved in?- The Skills/Qualifications I am likely to gain?- Demand for this skill within the industry?- Exit options? (would this option rule out future MC strategy jobs?)- The main differences in my experience/qualifications/training compared to a strategy analyst (either within Deloitte or a strategy house)I am aware there are descriptions of ERM/EA on Deloitte’s website and on the internet - but I am keen to hear from people who have first hand experience in this service-line...Many thanks in advance - very much appreciated!

Why apply for something that you know nothing about? Basically, it means installing SAP!

Right, let’s clear this mess up…I said I wanted to know **MORE** about EA at Deloitte...as I stated:QUOTE:''I am aware there are descriptions of ERM/EA on Deloitte’s website and on the internet - but I am keen to hear from people who have first hand experience in this service-line...''END QUOTE.So anon (ii) I have tried Google, Deloitte.com and read through the SAP website - I was hoping to find out more from the people who are IN Deloitte, as I wanted to know **MORE** about:QUOTE: - What exactly this service-line entails? - Examples of the type of work/projects I would be involved in? - The Skills/Qualifications I am likely to gain? - Demand for this skill within the industry? - Exit options? (Would this option rule out future MC strategy jobs?) END QUOTE.Clearly I am interested in this service-line from the descriptions I have read on-line and I think my questions are all perfectly reasonable from someone with no experience in this industry/service-line...if anybody had bothered to actually read my post - instead of just jumping on the bandwagon for a cheap shot...i.e. greendotlifer and anon (i) and anon (ii).I am a graduate trying to find out information about EA - I think you are being very harsh here.Anyone who is willing to help me, it would be great to hear from you. Thanks in advance, Alan.

O dear hmmm....I am more than capable of having a laugh – I don’t think I am going to get too worried about some forum chat, am a big enough boy to withstand that :) All I said was that I think people were being a bit harsh on me for what I see as a reasonable question...and all I would like I some help...which would be greatly appreciated. But I have to say the constant ''F***ing's'' coming my way go some way to illustrate the completely over the top responses...banter is fine but no need to slam me, it was only a question :(So calm the F*** down 'hmmm' and give some help...pls :p

I am glad to have made some people on this forum happy with my approach; I feel that I am very much the marmite of this forum…Btw SVP if you are looking for a graduate with no bull and an excellent ability for creating structured approaches to problem solving - just let me know...my CV is itching to go :)

Don't know if SVP employs grads. I remember him saying once that nearly everyone at his company goes home by 6...

SAP, Siebel, Oracle.Check out the "about us" link on their websites. Working for the service line, you would be selling, designing, implementing and testing these systems for clients.
