I'm laughing at the naivety of the graduates here, and I'm not laughing at the person who started this.OC&C wins the brand and reward war hands down, but you will have no life. E&Y, well, not the best brand but you may actually be able to hold down some semblance of a life outside work. You've met the people, choose which best suits you and your lifestyle and not necessarily what may impress your friends.

I guess I would say that I'm more focused on going for the firm that would give me the best jump-start to my career and after two years of working already (not a fresh graduate), I'm confident that work life balance is not my main focus.Having said that, I do have a friend at EY who seems to be pulling a lot of 75 hour weeks anyway!Does anyone else have anything else to add?What about the fact that OC&C is somewhat specialised in Media & Telecomes, PE & Retail?

There are a lot of jokers on this forum. The most important thing when you’re a graduate is to get a decent job in the area you’re interested in. Then, whilst you’re accruing experience and industry knowledge, you can sit down and think exactly what you want to do. So your “As soon as you decided to apply you should have decided which was the first choice.” comment is a bit idyllic.
