Hi guys, I'm waiting for details of an offer from OC&C. I went through the milkround but I'm coming from 2.5 years in an IT background. What sort of starting salary should I expect?

Prices do vary, but probably in line with market expecatation, though I would question the veracity and longevity of thier business model: it seems too focussed on operational efficiency rather than strategic growth

Any specific numbers for me? I'm not sure what the market expectation would be.

A typically generic comment ZB - be more specific?

I suspect he/ she means the heavy reliance of OC&C on private equity due diligence and retail for work, both of which have rather unsettled outlooks.Grad salaries in the high 30s for OC&C, work it from there.

ZB, that was a beautiful statement, so consultant-like in its vagueness, but sounded so profound! Man I have a lot to learn!

What I mean (and I make particular reference to all you ACN SI/Project management wasters) is that the business model relies on perfecting and mastering competencies which have already been implemented. It does not look to focus on strategic objectives, but rather carry on with what we are alredy doing. In a changing marketplace with sinosoidal gyrations in the stock markets and sparce capital for growth, this model is firstly antiquated and secondly myopicZB

You could never be a teacher ZB...While we are all impressed with your range of vocabulary?? This is a forum used to explain things to other people – who may or may not have the same experience/knowledge as others - so your use of language in my opinon is rather pointless and unhelpful. I am not saying we do not understand your language - it is just unnecessarily complicated and vague. I would be more impressed (and it would be a lot more helpful) if you could explain complex scenarios in simple terms – I believe that is the sign of someone who truly understands what they are talking about…clarity, vision and the ability to communicate effectively – much better than being a 9 letter word man.Only a pointer tho :) I am sure you will take this advice well…
