Hi, I recently started an IT and Telco consultancy in Australia, and I have been looking for places on the new to advertise by subiness and services. Apart from my own Website, it is difficult finding suitable places - maily in Australia, where I can list what I do.There are several "pay sites", however, quite frankly, they list so low down the various search engines, I wouldn't bother paying for a listing on their site.Sinally, there is ofcourse the Yellow Pages etc, however, again, lots of money for little value.I know this is a UK based site, however, I was hoping anyone from Aus might have some ideas.Tech Onwww.techon.com.au

As its a name it doesn't have to make sense. So no, I did deliberately write advise

How about on the website of the Institute of Management Consultants - Australia. They have a consultant directory. When thinking about where to advertise, you have to think about how prospective clients will look for consultants. It's less about how high the advertising website comes in Google's rankings. Very few serious clients will use Google as their primary channel to find consultants - they'll look to specialist business directories, trusted networks and recommendations.
