It seems these days that bonuses and pay rises are being restricted in Consulting. Doctors, Lawyers and even accountants are all guranteed to make a certain amount after 8 years of working. My question is simple. In consulting, Is it possible to earn 100K per annum after working for 8 years?Most people I know from the big four earn around £70K after 8 years despite what Tony's salary survey says.

I work for one of the big 4 consulting firms and and including bonus/car etc. you'd be on pretty much dead on 100k after 8 years. Bit less maybe.It's not that much money though unless you're not in london.

What part of banking Merlin? Asset management, commodities, compliance? Do most banking folk get £100K after two years. I know for a fact that middle office opportunities pay circa £60K for 5 years experience excl. bonus.As for anon - perhaps you can provide a clue to your employers ;-)

Only the best S&T roles in BB banks will be getting £100k + in two years. In fact those guys can be making £200k+ in two years... but only the best.Normal FO positions, even in BB banks won't be on £100k in two years, maybe £60-80 if they are getting good bonuses... i.e S&T, M&A.

London post-MBA consulting salaries at the top firms are c.£100kall in.So you could spend a couple of years at one, then get sponsored at B-school, and be on £100k four or five years out of university.

I hear Auditer can make partner at the big 4 after about 8 years. Does that mean they will be earning way more than £100K?
