Accenture outshines Deloitte in technology. In terms of strategy and management consulting, they are quite similar. I believe that Accenture has more brand awareness and more industry credibility, although Deloitte Consulting is doing great things too. If you have a choice between MCIM at Accenture and Deloitte Strategy, it is a tough choice. I would choose Accenture, particularly as they will weather any economic downturn better than their competitors due to a large technology and outsourcing business supporting their bottom line, as well as very established relationships with c-suite execs and diamond clients, which will benefit them in growing their management consulting practice as well (which is the most prestigious part of Accenture by far, as they are doing real business consulting work, and this gives you very relevant transferable skills).
