I am a senior in college in the U.S. (originally from London) and have offers from a few consulting firms. I would really appreciate the advice of this forum regarding these offers.1. Accenture offered me an analyst role in either NYC, Chicago, or San Francisco in Management Consulting & Integrated Markets.2. Booz Allen Hamilton- public sector- a very technical role working with IT for the government and public sector clients. The firm has an outstanding reputation, but I am concerned with the purely technical focus of my role (as compared to ACN) and the transferable skills that I would gain.3. Deloiite- TI- also a very technical analyst role like Booz- but Deloitte also has a growing strategy practice that I could try to transfer into in the future. I like the financial focus of many Deloitte projects as well. However, as with Booz, I would be in the technical area.The Accenture offer would enable me to develop more strategic business consulting skills and knowledge, as the role is not in the SI&T group. However, Deloitte and Booz are great names, and the interviews impressed me.What should I choose?

It really depends what your after in your career?Booz Allen are tier 1 so even you went in at a tech role you could always move over to strategy in the future. I would go for Deloitte over Accenture any day of the week but that is just me. All 3 will be good for entry level and your correct in looking what you can move to in the future. The end of the day Booz brand will go futher esp. if you are considering MBA futher down the track.

Thank you for your advice. I understand that the Booz brand may take me further, particularly in strategy circles. However, in terms of skills gained and business knowledge, Accenture comes much closer to the strategy and management consulting skills that I am interested in. I really do not have an interest in gaining specific IT implementation skils (i.e. SAP) and branding myself in that fashion, as the best roles in industry and strategy firms are not in IT. Would you choose Booz soley for the brand and not the skills that you would develop? Is it worth it?
