Quick question on salaries. What should a Director of consulting in a significant business advisory firm earn as a basic salary?

The range will be absolutely enormous. What does 'Director' really mean, how many people are their in the division, what are the revenues etc...I imagine the range probably goes from £50k to £5m

I think Director, to most people at least, means a Partner at a consulting firm. I would hazzard a guess that most Directors base would be between £100,000-£200,000. The important thing is bonus, which is unlimited and dependant upon your selling ability. This could be several multiples of your base (and quite frankly should be) and thus a Partner would be expected to earn in the region of £400,000 to £XXm. A Partner at my firm got a bonus of around £2.3mZbigniew Brzezinski

It doesn't sound like a partner to me. I would suspect salary will be largely dependent on what revenues you can bring in. Would have thought in the region of £80k to £150k with a bonus if your business does well.That really is a guess though.
