Hello everybody,I wonder if anyone out there has any information on Peppers & Rogers Group. Are they well regarded, I know they are a boutique firm but what is their status in prestige compated to M/B/B? or more importantly compared to other boutiques? I believe their perception by others in the industry and by clients would be important for future possibilities. For example, what would a top MBA admission committee think when they see that firm on my resume? Could we compared it to M/B/B in this respect?I am having a difficult time finding information about this company, so please do not hesitate to share any idea you have. (Top consultant team, maybe you have some ideas about this firm?) All comments are gratefully appreciated!

I actually engaged PRG many moons ago to devise a CRM strategy. Even got to meet Don & Martha! At the time they were a force to be reckoned with in the CRM 'space', load of ideas, great model, fantastic collective experience, well capable of putting our CEO in his place & got well rewarded for it. However, several changes of UK management later & they have sunk without trace - the words "missed opportunity" spring to mind. Don & Martha still have great reputations stateside tho'.

hmm, are they only doing CRM work? My impression was that they also do some strategy consulting in marketing related ares. Also, which one should be preferred if I have to choose between Value Partners / Peppers & Rogers / Deloitte Consulting?

I haven't heard anything about their UK operation in a long time so I think they are defunct. A while ago I was trying to contact someone I knew who worked there and I can't even find a reference to them (beyond their books) on Google. As for which to choose to work for, doesn't that depend on your long term career aspirations? CRM has evolved into CEM these days and there are not many firms who specialise in that area as far as I can see (and I've been looking), so the answer would depend on whether you want "breadth" or "depth" in your chosen discipline. Just my view, I'm sure someone else would have another. Do you have any UK contact details for PRG?

(have you tried this?http://www.peppersandrogers.com/view.aspx?ItemID=631#uk)And for my long term career aspirations, I am planning to start in consulting, have 2 years of experience (this is to develop all the soft skills that I really believe important in later positions), then go to a top MBA and do IB for the rest.So main challenge is to find the company that could help me get those skills and a great MBA.Am I being naive or something?

Yes, you are being extremely naive. For starters, I believe you are over-estimating your ability to obtain what you want. Secondly, whilst it's good to have long-term direction, your plans are quite likely to change over time (whether by choice or not).

Sophie, thanks for comments."I believe you are over-estimating your ability to obtain what you want" --> so what should I do get them?"your plans are quite likely to change over time" --> we all know that's a possibility, every new piece of information that I find change my plans, but I think you're ok with my strategy (i.e. "direction"). did I get it right?
