What do you want to know about them and where are you based? Financial health seems to vary by geography at the mo - big focus on getting the UK practice kick-started again......

Working with one guy from there at the moment. Word is that things are healthy there at the moment - bookings are good, bonuses back, promotion announcements and morale a lot better. They had a hard time of it a couple of years ago but indications are they are turning the corner. Still predominantly an IT consultancy but focusing increasingly on the management consultancy side.

Real Story

The truth is that Bearing Point globally is in its death throes. They recently sacked their CEO ( Harry You), are in deep trouble financially, carry little credibility with investors after failing to get current with SEC filings aftr years of efforts and are I wouldn't be surprised to see them file for bankruptcy in a quarter or two. This is obviously the state of the company overall - I'm not sure about the European practices as such. Personally I would advise caution and very thorough risk assessment to anyone thinking of taking the plunge. In general, a useful place to guage sentiment for public listed firms like Bearing Point are the Yahoo Finance message board ( ticker BE) and the vault message boards.Good luck,

Actually, you have been misinformed. They have been current in their SEC filings for years now and will continue to be. So that part isn't true. Yes Harry You has left the company but Ed Harbach seems like he will turn everything around. As far as deep trouble financially...they definetly are not. They are closing on contracts left and right and their professional reputation within this contracts have been to perform exceptionally. There was a problem a few years ago and I guess people want to live in the past. But every company goes through problems now and again and they are mostly still around once they hit this level.
