Im due to start Accenture's Graduate scheme towards the end of this year. My dad keeps nagging me about what type of pension im going to get. Ive tried phoning Accenture but they just say i will get the details in a few months. Does anyone know any details about the Graduate Pension?

No company pension here. I had to take out my own via Norwich Union.Mathew - I suspect your Dad may be hoping you're in line for a final salary scheme. But, very very few companies offer that these days sadly.

Forget your pension... for more important things to worry about. Your aim should be to make enough money through your investments to not need a pension anyway.Ask about career progression, salary, leadership opportunities or even exit opportunities but NOT pensions. Yawn...

It just a simple question. I already have a pension, and was wondering if it was going to be worth transfering it over to Accenture'sAfterall everyone is saying young people dont think about their future, so surely thinking about your pensions now is a good think? As for my personal investment, i have a property portfolio, various stock/bonds and cash investments. So i think im doing ok for now and therefore can afford to think about my pensions.

Mathew, your investments seem to be doing well for a grad!

Acn should tell you what the package is, including pension, as part of your offer

anon, i was lucky (unlucky???) enough to inherit some money from my grandparents. Decided to invest it in Property at exactly the right time and it went from there. Suppose a bit of luck really. There offer meantioned about the pension scheme, but not what time it was.

Hey Mathew, You really dont need to justify why you want to know about your future employer's pension deal! It fair enough, investments or not. Maybe email the buddy that you were assigned during the recruitment process as they can give you the load down on this informally. Or you could post a tread in the Accenture forum link you get once you've secured the offer - but maybe leave this option till last as new recruits are in same boat (someone might now though!). Hope you find out!!
