I've 3 years experience in IT consulting and relocating to Newcastle to be closer to family. My current employer is niche and doesn't have offices oop north. Anyone know which consultancies operate up there? Otherwise, are there any good IT companies with offices there? I've has a look at accenture but it looks like the positions advertised are entry level. Any help greatly appreciated!

I hear McK are opening an office in Newcastle and Bain are also considering their long-term geographic strategy. I think this has been spurred by the glut of work up North. Most of the work seems to becentred on the key principle strategic and operational challenges the North faces, namely: Establishing a strategic framework and coherent implementation plan for the pacification of the moronic, drunken, foul-mouthed, Sunsports page reading Leeds United and Newcastle United supporters who continue to blight this wonderful country. Fujitsu have a couple of offices there.. but they'll expect you to be geographically mobile anyways.
