Hi everyone,I need your comments regarding a career shift which I intend to make .I am mentioning a brief description of my profile below.I am British citizen with an engineering qualification (B.E). In total I have 9 years of industry experience. I have worked in private and public sector IT projects in England as an IT consultant (System Analyst) for about 6.5 years.After completing my post graduate course in education (PGCE) from a university in London, I am working as an ICT teacher in secondary school/sixth Form College in London from last 2.5 years. I am currently doing my part time MBA from a business school in London. I intend to get into management consultancy once my course is over. Kindly suggest based on my profile above ,what are my prospects in management consultancy sector. What kind of roles would be suitable for me and what is the salary range I should expect or aim for? You have a strange career path - as long as you can justify why you left industry to teach, before trying to re-join the commercial world, you should be ok.Be prepared to be on a level with people significantly younger than yourself though - your experience will not be fully recognised.
