What's a good way to find an internship, other than to trawl companies' web sites or apply direct? Are there any intern-finding websites out there? Any tips on how to overcome stiff opposition from the many people chasing each one - what sets you apart, aside from educational achievement.

Well, there's nothing to do apart from the above apart from move to France where the internship system is a national obsession for universities. Keep trying is all I can say, it bugs the sh*t out of me that well connected but often dim candidates fill internships at my company every year and I yearn for someone who's not there simply to make their entrance to IB from Oxbridge look less painless.l

i used websites like insidecareers.com and milkround. they have a pretty good list. i would still check company sites that arent on them tho as usually they do do internships
