Hi All,I have just had my second and final round of Interview with Accenture. How long do they generally take to come back to people with a response. They have not contacted me for 7 working days now, and should I take this as a better sign?Cheers

Because I was one of the very first batches of interviewees, Accenture warned me I would have to wait over a month although in fact it took a little over that.

I am sailing in the same boat ,though its just been 4 days since my interview. Anyone has experience of positive reaction from the interviewer but and negative result ?My interviewer was quite happy with my CV and appreciated my qualities as well. How much Influence does HR in ACN has on the selection process. In Deloitte , I know , HR has a big role to play in hiring .They can solely reject a person even if the interviewer wants the person....

I went for a final round interview with Accenture back in April and heard within 2 days I was rejected.Although this might sound like me just being bitter because I was rejected it is genuinely I how I felt after the assessment centre:I was interviewed at least 10 different organisations and Accenture were by far the least personable. They ship applicants in and out of these interviews and assessment centres so quickly. It’s crazy, you basically are just another number and all they care about is filing the right amount of quota. There is no chance to speak about “you” and your ambitions; past experiences etc all they care about is filing the mould. What I found very off putting was as 8 of us were about to start another 8 people had just finished their interviews etc and these were happening all day. In contrast Deloitte (who I got a job with) you get interviewed by very senior managers, the partners and you get a real sense of care and a personable touch that did not exist in Accenture. Then post assessment centre the level of care and attention every graduate gets is incredible – you are not just another applicant filing a role you get a sense that you are a newly valued employee.Such a bad impression I got from Accenture. You’re just another number and the fact they recruit all year round shows how many staff they employee which I don’t think is a good thing.

I totally disagree about the above comment. I have just had an offer from ACN, i had four rounds of interviews, case study, met senior partner etc- i found them all extremely personable- i am going in Human Performace Consulting- perhaps that area attracts more personable people? I did a lot of interviewing with all the big names over a period of 5 months- I turned down all of my other offers because i was very impressed with Accentures interviewing process, the interviewers. There were no airs and graces even with the senior partner. Very down to earth people who happen to be very committed to their career. If you want an example of impersonal interviewers try dealing with Google! The Accenture response rate is quick at final round i got my offer with 48 hours- good luck!

I agree 100% with the comment about google, i thought they were meant to be a fun and friendly company with a really cosy down to earth working atmosphere, yet I don't think the person who interviewed me could have been colder had she tried. Cutting me off mid-sentence, vague feedback, a little bit arrogant although I do think she had higher than average intelligence, didn't provide contact details (ever tried contacting someone at google?? you may as well phone MI5 and ask to speak to 007), and just generally I felt like I was being held well and truly at arm's length (my uncle laughed when I said I had a 'telephone interview'... he thought I was joking). I still want to work for them for the right salary but at least now I'm under no illusions

I agree with Sarah. I interviewed at Accenture and was successful and found the interviewers all really friendly, without exception. All of them took the time to make sure I was relaxed before the interview (one even nipped off to make me a cup of tea at the start of the interview, bless her!) and although the questions were fairly standard, they drew quite extensively on my own skills and experiences so I disagree with Craig in that respect. We also got the chance to have a very relaxed chat with some junior and senior consultants during the assessment day and they all made an effort to put us at our ease. As for the comment about recruiting all year round, one could say that about many other companies....

I got a response from HR saying that the feedback of the interview was very positive but the they can only come back to me later as people have gone on holiday till 28th and approval process i halted .So I think whoever gave an interview recently need to wait till next Friday at least.

ACN took over 2 weeks to tell me I hadnt got the job.. talk about making me stew... As for no news is good news?! This was a couple of months ago. I am however quite glad now... although the assessment centre was pretty well organised I found the whole process and the interviewers a little stand offish.. dont get me wrong they arent there to make friends with you.. but i had a bad feeling right from the word go. Great experience tho and some of the ppl in my group definitely deserved the job over me.. hope they got it!

I had interviews with Deloitte and Accenture. Deloitte felt by far more professional. They were really trying to know what my goals were and what I could bring to the company, but also if I could fit there. Accenture was awful, I had the impression I was at school. The interviewer, although she was really beautiful, was extremely cold, trying to obtain the exact sentences she was waiting for. She seemed really annoyed, thinking I wasn t bright enough (she was from HR, no trace of partner interviewing). In the end I did so well (esp. group exercises) at Accenture I was offered several jobs!! I turned down all offers because I had been treated like a child trying to repeat the sentences he read on Accenture website. I am wondering what analysts at Accenture actually look like. Future consultants? not sure!!
