Is there any report to forecast the market of consulting services for 2008 in UK/Europe, especially in the light of such a economic downturn all over the world?

I am not aware of any report but I think the need for consultants will grow. Companies will downsize to reduce costs and in many cases get rid of expertise. When a situation later arises that they need that particular expertise the need for a consultant will therefore be required.Sandra Beale FCIPD

What do you mean downturn? By taking snapshots of the market (like you are doing) does not necessarily translate into a downturn.Why because you hear subprime lending and FTSE down by XXX in one day you think that means that this is a full blown downturn...get real pleaseTippr
