Credit Card Creep

Hello, expert consultants.I posted a question some time ago about CASHBACK CREDIT CARDS. I now have a follow-on question. Can I pay my mortgage and other bills by Direct Debit with one of these cards? Will I earn cashback? The card I am thinking of in particular is the Capital One Platinum card (4% cashback initially, 1% normal rate).I thought I would post this question here because of the higher than average IQ and creative thinking ability of the readers.

Thats a cash advance.heres how you get around this......If your rate is 1% for purchases and 27% for cash advances.1. Ensure you have 2 bank accounts, or open a savings account at your branch.2. Set up TWO paypal accounts, and use your credit card with one of them(You need the bank accounts for verification)3. Buy 'Stuff' off yourself :)4. This also works for carousel fraudPaypal, yesterdays fraud.... Today!

I did think of that but with PayPal don't you have to pay a certain % (which is higher than the cashback rate on the card) when you draw the money out?

Yes its 2% with paypal usually, but your CC provider charges you 2.5% and a CASH APR of 27%.Paypal is 2% + your APR is 'goods and services' which can be as low as 3% or 0%You take £10k from a 0% card for 1 year paypal gets 2% and you get 6% by splitting it into 2k lumps and depositing it back in those same banks offering a 6% interest rate per annum.End of year pay off credit card2% of 10k = £2006% of 10K = £600£400 less tax and NI = £300£300 on a blow up sheep etc....
