Hi guys, i know these sorts fo questions come up a lot but i'd be most grateful for some guidance.I work in CRM as an analyst at one of the big full house players and would like to move in to more pure strategy. We do a little bit of marketing work etc. but it's too IT focussed for my liking.Which of the following choices are realistic/most advantageous:1. Apply for next years analyst intake at a strat house (means being an A1 again)2. Stick it out here for 3 or 4 years and do an MBA then go for Associate intake.3. Stay several years and try going in as an experienced hire (concerned the IT focus of current role would preclude that option.

I would suggest that (3) is relatively unlikely (unless you transition to something semi-strategy, e.g., IT strategy) I don't think any of the strat houses are really interested in this as an experienced hire thing. For making (1) work you would have to have pretty excellent academics etc (i.e., you'll have to get in on 'fundamentals' I don't think the CRM will add much). In addition, you have to be not too far into your career otherwise its not worth it (I'd suggest 18 months as top).

this is again a type of these 'how-to-get-from-Accenture-to-Strategy' type of questions, right? (you will find thousands of useful posts here on that topic). My 2cents:Option 1 quite a tough job to be convincing, esp. with one year younger applicants next to youOption 2 sounds very promising assuming you manage to get into the right school, but is expensive. Option 3 quite plausible. assuming that the possibility to do more strat work is available, try to steer in the right direction during your assignments (communicate to everybody!!!), and do loads of stuff next to your projects. i know several people that moved form ACN to Bain and Mck. (you can combine this option with no2). good luck!
