hidoes any body have an idea on IBM GBS travel policies - what class i can travel, reimbursement issues if any etc i am looking towards an opportunity with them but then they have mentioned travel @ 80% and not provided details of travel policy. inputs appreciated ..RB

Economy class travel for all journeys unless explicitly agreed otherwise by the client in the contract (very rare) or you can find a better grade of travel for less than economy class travel would cost through corporate bookings.No issues with reimbursement (I don't know of any firms at this scale that do have issues though). In most offices and regions, you get a corporate charge card.

Corporate travel agent unless you can show you can get a better deal independently. In reality, people just leave it to corporate service 99% of the time as they handle all the re-booking, last-minute change hassles which come with consulting travel.
