Hi, I would greatly appreciate your opinion.Having been working for 2yrs in industry (retail) in finance I am thinking about moving into MC. My mid-term objective for the future is to work in investment banking (M&A, equity research) or strategy consultancy (preferably MBBB). I plan also, in 2yrs time or so, to embark on top MBA.I reached the conclusion that staying in retail won't give me good prospects for either IB or MC. I might have the possibility to work as a MC with one of the big banks (internal strategy). I'm very happy about this option, however I'd appreciate your opinion on the following:1) What chances would I have to move (say after 1-2yrs) into MBBB?2) Would I gain any transferable skills in terms of IB (M&A or ER)?3) Would this move be beneficial in terms of MBA application?Big thanks in advance

1) How old are you? What did you do at Uni and more importantly where and what did you get? 2) Yes3) Definately. The standard route is a few years in consulting then an MBA.

Hi, thanks for reply. I'm 25 now and I studied in Belgium (MA Business Management in the no.1 Belgian business school).
