Trying to work out the practicalities of commuting to Accenture London offices. A primary constraint appears to be arrival time in the morning. What's the latest you can arrive in the office without the smart ar$e "Good afternoon" comments or worse still being taken to one side for a bit of advice.

depends who you're working with. Some people/projects/managers start late and work late and finish late, others (like my last manager) come in at 7 and leave early.I'd say 9.30 would be the latest, most people are 8-9am coming in though.

find that tends not to be a problem either way, as long as you are doing the hours. Problem is more finding somewhere to sit if you get there after 9. And to get a seat on a Friday, need to be there around 8.30

Thanks for the comments. No contract yet, still at the early interview stage. I didn't want to find out down the road that getting in at 8:30 would get me noticed for all the wrong reasons. On a related point - how well is home-working viewed? Say for 1 or maybe 2 days a week. Clearly only when direct contact with the team isn't needed.

Again, very project specific.Often the overseas/out of town projects are ok with you working from home on a Fri as they tend to be mon-thur out of town fri office or work from home.Would normally be a friday if you get to work from home. Most work is client site based during the week, hence the small capacity of the offices given the number of employees!

And presumably if the client is London based there is no way that over-nighting in a hotel would be considered.Worst case scenario that I see is to be on site at a London based client and funding commuting costs for the whole week.Better case being out of town (hotel) client Mon-Thu with Fri home-workingBest case being home town client Mon-Thu with Fri home-workingAnd I haven't even got an offer yet !

I was with Accenture for 3 years and visited my office on Old Bailey less than 10 times. You'll be wherever the client is.
