Hi,I am due to attend an assessment centre at the end of this week. I have been supplied by Capgemini with some background information for the individual case study.Regarding this case study, does anyone have a view as to whether I should bring some supporting material with me?I have listed the main options below. -Formal powerepoint presentation,-Nothing: just from memory & reasoning.-A few slides/notes on a hand out with initial key findings that I can then use to develop my main points. Any other tips would be very much appreciated!!Thanks

Hiya Capsuccess, congrats on the interview and good luck! Let us know how it goes!Ref. your question - I'd take a few good notes with you, but wouldn't go as far as a formal powerpoint presentation as that could appear a bit OTT. A bit of preparation beforehand shows you're organised and 'have it together' however. It will also help structure your thinking on the day if you've worked through a few things on paper beforehand.Good luck!!

Hi,Not sure if your applying for CDC or ATP, and not sure if process is the same. But for ATP you cant use powerpoint, you are asked to prepare an A4 sheet and show findings on the case study. They say you present these as you feel fit. I prepared so hard for this, memorised a script and practised a million times infront of the mirror until it was exactly 10mins in length. My prepared A4 was just each of the main issues with bulletpoints, just to reiterate my points and to back up the structure.Even thou there was only the two of us in the room I still stood up to present my findings. I would recommend this as it stops you from fidgeting and helps you feel more in control.I can honestly say that the day was really relaxed and friendly, it will be nerveracking, but painless I assure you. I went through this process back in early April and I start the ATP scheme on Monday.I wish you the best of look with your assessment centre and hopefully when your successful I might be seeing you shortly!Good luck and let us know how it goesClaire

Thanks for the tips. I am actually going in for the MSST one. They have hinted that it is supposed to be a discussion with the assessor more than a formal presentation so I think I'll go with a few slides/notes on an A4 paper. Somehow I think that whole standing up is a bit too formal??!!

I've been there not so long ago. What you were given was just the background to the case study. You will be given the question to address at the beginning of the interview. Therefore there is little you need to bring with you other than the slides you were given. Your interviewer will of course have spare copies, but you want to show you have arrived prepared.Of course, you can already spot some problems or issues from the material you were given. Make a note of them, but don't focus on them as they are not necessarily the answer to the question you will be given.
