I've been working at Deloitte on the TI consulting gradaute programme for nearly years now. I've really enjoyed it and been involved in lots of projects all over the UK. My base location is London but I tend to only ever be here at the wekeend because my projects are all over the UK.I'm originally from Scotland and have quite a large family back home and in an ideal world would love to relocate back there.Does anyone have any idea if I'd stand any chance of staying in the same job but changing my base location to Edinburgh or Glasgow? I know I should ask my manager etc but thought I'd see if anyone on here had any insight first. Also is such a move likley to affect my salary now I wouldn't be based in London any longer.

Moving is possible but usually not until you are consultant grade which should be after your 2nd year. Can only apply to move in Jan and July and it will affect your salary

ANyone got any idea of how much a salary change I could expect changing my base location from London to Edinburgh I'm curently on 34K.It seems harsh to cut it drastically especially when the type of work, travelling, consulting lifestyle will remain the same.

I am also interested in what the possibilty to Scotland office would be once making Consultant grade? Are Deloitte quite flexible with regards to transfers and what are the salary implications moving to a regional office as opposed to staying in London?

Regional salarys are 90% of those in London with the excepton of Northern Ireland which i think is significantly less. Don't think you actually get a direct payt cut but you'll miss out on futrure pay rises until you are back in the correct banding.

How much would significantly less be? 80%?
