I am 57, currently working as a senior pursuit and project manager with a multi-national PLM software company- approximately 20 years in IT, the last 12 in software management. I am planning to do an EMBA at Ivey School in London Ontario (top ranked Canadian MBA school, in FT top 50)My reasons for doing this at such a late age are rather personal, since I am decently compensated (~US$150,000). The only 'practical' value I can see is the possibility of spending my remaining years - before retirement - working overseas, in Europe or UAE.I can see the normal hurdles of a move to another country - given my age though, would it be even possible to make such a move, despite an newly-minted EMBA from a good school and extensive IT manangement experience. Canada is not too bad when it comes to 'age discrimination' - what is like in European Countries or UAE?
