Thanks a ton. would you also know salary range at manager level? Do the two ranges (manager and senior manager) overlap partly?

Sure....Manager = 68 - 85car - £5725 (I think)Bonus 5%the top end of manager is unknown really because some people stick around for so long getting nominal increases, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was an overlap with SM.

Thanks. It is quite helpful info.I am actually surprized to find that 'range' of manager salary is much less compared to that for senior managers! Not sure if that is normal in other consulting companies as well. Also, would you know how does manager and senior manager levels in accenture compare with (designations in) some other consulting commpanies such as IBM, Deloitte ? And how does accenture stand in terms of salaries of corresponding levels - is it at the high end or more like median?

i think salaries are pretty much the same in the big SI's for similar levels. It all changes at partner level and Accenture is really behind in that area. The reason for a large SM range is that its is an end point for the majority of people trying to get up the career ladder, but the salary increases slowly over a number of years. The bottom end salary of a senior exec overlaps with a SM...so many SM's ask themselve is it worth going for SE with a small increase and really selling your life away?

you mentioned cpmparison with other big SI. Any idea how is accenture compensation placed with tier 1 strategy firms. So basically comparison between manager / sr. manage levels with sr. associate / principal level in strategy consulting (McK, BCG...)?

The tier 1's do pay more - but the big difference is the Bonus - you're talking more like 25%.I am not sure how much more they pay - probably around 10-15% more on base. Also consider the 'name' value - i.e. much easier to walk in to a C-level position and earn a bigger packet.
