Hey there...I am about to start out in consultancy in the next month or so after a few years in FS industry. Was wondering if you had any tips / suggestions on how to ensure I get off to a good start. Currently seeing out my notice period and it's fairly quiet. Any thoughts on what I could do to prep for the new job?

Hmmm. Let's see. Am joining a consultancy outfit that has strong focus on IT. Therefore expect to work on IT systems projects (though I'm not a techie) but rather managing it from a business point of view. Also some mention was made of non-IT business initiatives. The role sounds similar to the sort of thing i've been doing here as a Proj Mgr. But of course I expect the environment / set up to be different. E.g. how do you 'find' projects in week 1 / month 1 when networks are still new?So I'm looking at things to do in the next few weeks to make the transition smooth / successful. E.g. stuff to read? Write up an internal profile? Reading this forum? What else? Ta
