Trying to move into strategy consulting, got rejected at screening stage in 4 applications so far. I have done my research and chosen and tailored my application. I have a 1st class degree from a red brick university. 5 years international experience in technology working for a software house. 2.5 years project management experience ($multi million) including client facing experience at VP level. internally I regularly present to senior management and CEO.My CV is skill based rather than traditional chronological order, so its structured around relationship management , analytical ability, Leadership ,communication ability etc. Plus drive and commitment to top it off.One particular application I made, was for a position one level above grade entry!, but I explained in my letter that I expect myself to progress quickly ... still got rejected I feel I have the skills needed, but after the 4 rejections, I am pausing and looking at my CV and wondering if its letting me down.I have done a search here and found some post from recruitment consultants that seem to advise against this CV structure.Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks
