Just wondering if there is anyone out there hows knows about the type of case questions are asked at BCG interviews? I have an interview with them and also BAH. Also is it a fair assumption to make that to get to director/partner level at these types of companies you need to have an MBA? I mean at PA where I work you don't. The same is true for ACN, Deloitte et al. Also just how much of a step up is BCG BAH compared to say a ACN or PA, if any. I have interviewed with ACN and obviously PA and to be honest it's preety straightforward if you do some background work and present yourself well. but the rigour and length of the strategy consultancy interview process looks like torture. I mean just how does one prepare bullet proof for a case?

In terms of prestige, employability, brand, compensation and overall career advancement BCG ranks first by a long mile. Its in a league of its own along with Mckinsey and Bain. Tier 2 is BAH given its large size and the restructuring of its business model over the years. Tier 3 is Accenture although it still is a great name on the CV and if you make partner you can indeed make a killing. Tier 4 is PA my frend. You work there so you already know all abt it.

There one thing distinguishing between market positioning of MBBB and other firms, but PA and ACN? Are you guys modern language majors or just simple-minded?

No, it's not necessary to have an MBA in order to become a partner at MBB.Diversity, among other reasons. It's quite cool be question the value of an MBA nowadays.

I pity the fool who thinks he will ever get a +ve ROI from his investment in an MBA.

" mean just how does one prepare bullet proof for a case?"if you have to prepare for a case you aren't what they are looking for. You should have the intelligence to think on your feet whatever scenario is presented
