The company is a global systems integrator with about 20 locations in 10 countries (approx 200 employees to date); the role is considered as part of exec team and will have me creating a business consulting practice initially focused on the US only; I've been in the $200k total cash comp range for last couple of years; approx 20 years experience in associated technologies in sales, marketing management and independent consulting roles.One question I have is around termination clauses... the last 3 companies I've been with had dramatic shifts in strategy or were acquired. Is it too much to request a termination clause for (?) six months salary if their approach to the market changes? Also, this is a completely new business unit for them so revenues may be slow to come initially; do I request a higher base for first year and then adjust as business is established?
