I've been an grad analyst for a couple of months now at a big four consultancy firm....I actually didn't get my predicted grad at uni (a top 3 one lets just say) but I was given the go ahead regardless :)Will my grade discount me from future opportunities? Although I'm not looking to move anytime soon, it will be interesting to hear your thoughts. I'm hoping they will look at my work experience instead as uni wasn't a great time tbh (for many reasons I shalt not dwelve into).Are companies such as McK, Bain etc... very particular on people attaining 1sts/2.1's?

Bangles,I'd say you've done the hard task already, getting into a big 4 consultancy with anything other than 1st/2:1 is extremely difficult (although not impossible!)as far as future opportunities goes to get into an MBBB you'll most likely need an MBA and a top business school.Their notoriously difficult anyway but i wouldn't let your first degree get into your head too much, your in a top firm. well done :)

I'd agree with the previous statement. Hardest part is getting that foot in the door and you've done that now. You'd need an mba to go to the strat firms mentioned so you'd therefore need an mba. For these you won't necessarily need a 2.1 to get in. In exceptional cases they actually take non-grads anyway.
