The same wstar with offers from JP Morgan, Deloitte and BT Grad Scheme and was offered a final round with PA?Stay clear of IBM.I'd read the comments on this forum regarding IBM and thought they were slightly harsh. I attended an interview and have since spoken to a few "IBMers" and have discovered pretty much all that is said is spot on.

Oh i wish i had an offer from Deloitte, See i've heard that too....I guess the big name is attractive but it seems to be a smoke screen. It seems from the earlier threads that IBM consultants don't have a nice time, wonder if BT will be the same Mmm...(or am i going to JP Morgan...still not decided. ah well)I remember attending an interview with them too and yes...i wasn't too impressed (nice office though)BTW any got any ideas on what the PA strategy/marketing practice is like?

No IBM GBS is far off Strategy (as far as im aware) GBS is more incline towards technology integration like Accenture,Atos, Delottie's TI (albeit probably the better scheme) etc...Strategy tends to look at more corporate level or high level, I'm unsure about PA's strategy practice although PA is a good outfit i'm sure it'd be good.

I work for IBM GBS as an IT Consultant delivering large, complex systems (usually J2EE based) and it is no better or worse than anywhere else. I came across from PwC Consulting and I'm still doing the same sort of work with the same great people albeit with the added overhead of a bit more admin as you'd expect with a company the size of IBM.They attract a wide range of people so I find myself working with young, ambitious, highly motivated graduates as well as more experienced 'typical' deep blue IBMers and the mix works well.

Hi, I am ex-IBM BCS, and can tell you that its truly a horrid place to work, its a real bureaucracy with limited development opportunities or training, and even lower pay than PA
