I'm attending the final round assesment for BSI graduate Accenture next week and have a query about the base location should I be offered a job.I fully understand the need to be fully mobile and will be expected to travel anywhere for projects. However how flexible are Accenture with regards to base location? Is it likely I will be able to specify my pref. Does it matter what your base location is esp since you work at client site anyways?Where are Accenture base locations in the UK? I know of Manchester, London, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. COuld I specify I had a pref for eg Aberdeen or Newcastle or edinburgh?

I think as a grad the chances are they'll want you based in london or manchester at a oush. The 3 weeks induction training is in central london anyway and you may well end up on a london project.

HOw about once you have some expereince behind you? Do Accenture give you more flexibility over base location after a few months/year..... etc

Yeah i mean dont get me wrong, you may end up on a projoect exactly where you want straight from the off and get to move offices,all that stuff.But you need ot be prepared for the fact that the training IS in London and most Analaysts are in London. I definately dont think you need ot be based there though even if they would like you too. Lots of people stay miles away from the offices and indeed are rarely near them.

Thanks for the replies :) I'm fully prepared for lots of London work etc and probaly lots of travelling etc but in an ideal work I would prefer to based further north (Newcastle, Edinburgh) and commute during the week. What exactly is your base office for? If you work on the client site and everyone who is based at the base office is presumably working on different projects when do you go to this office and for what purpose?
