Would you like a matrix of this, with RAG colour-coding and slide-per-firm summaries of findings, conclusions and recommendations? Oh, and mustn't forget the top-and-tail slides for the introduction to the study, considerations and assumptions, and next steps.

By the way, that'll be £200 for the 2.5 minutes' work on project scoping, plus 5% office loading. I'll send the invoice at the end of the month.

Hi boredom... I like you. You've obviously been around the block a few times, so I have a question: What can I do to make my assignments more profitable? It's a serious question - I want to do fewer hours for more money, and reverse the downward pressure on daily rates that I've been experiencing lately. Do you have any little tricks I could use, e.g. quoting a fee then sticking a 5% office charge on top of it (every little helps)... would love to hear from you.

first thing you could learn is that with such disparate consulting firms you will be doing well to convince any of them you actually want to work there, let alone get an offer from them. sort that before you worry about the grad package. second thing you should learn is some research skills, pretty critical is you want to be a consultant, and the answers are on this forum. third thing to dont get too greedy (save it for later) - asking about bonuses etc when you have yet to achieve anything. fourth thing to learn is not to make too many points in a list and the fifth thing to learn is to read them in sequential order.

This forum is a bloody joke sometimes. The guy is still in uni and he is trying to kick start his research on this forum. Whats wrong with that. The more i read this forum the more I want to get out of consulting before I turn into such a bitter undermining bunch of loners.Monkeyboy...hope you get an answer here..if not go trawl thru websites and ring HR

Monkeyboy,Just search the threads for graduate salaries, loads of details come up then. The second thing is you need to express which aspect of consulting you want to enter because salaries vary greatly. Technology graduates like me get far less starting salaries than our management consulting counterparts. If you explain what area of consulting you are hoping to enter people may be able to be more help.
