Hi Has anyone ever come across Prospectus consulting based in Dublin. Just looking to find out what sort of rep. they have within the industry?Thanks

Can't say that I've heard of them, but maybe that's not a big issue as I don't work in Ireland - looking at the client list they seem to be v.nationally focussed.It can be difficult judging smaller firms as the probability of coming across someone with recent, direct experience of the firm is low. One approach is to look at the profile of clients, consultants and other firms in their Eurogroup Alliance.For example, I have no idea whether having "Miss Carr's Children's Home" as a client is impressive or not. Only a couple of the Directors seem to have experience in a recognisable consulting firm, though notably not a strategy consultancy - you may be able to judge if Andersen was a more impressive outfit in Ireland than it was in the UK.

Yeah, I'm from Ireland. Know them well. Wouldn't be a fan. Run by an ex ACN guy - typically arrogant. Big in healthcare. Have been trying to recruit for the last 3 years but are known to (a) work you very hard, (b) pay you very poorly.For strategy consulting, PWC probably the biggest at the mo. Genesis Consult is the new kid on the block. Other MC consultancies include Deloitte, Bearingpoint, IBM. ACN apparently getting back in. Then you're left with the Tier 2 accounting firms. Of help?

They were a decent player in healthcare in Ireland. Lots of board strategy and governance stuff. However, they then lost their main person to Deloitte about three years ago and haven't really been the same profile since. To be fair, around the same time the Irish healthcare consultancy market significantly declined so had been a tough sector for all.
