Depends what you're after in life. I know 2 former colleagues who have left the Big 4 set-up to work in magic circle firms. The pace is much slower (almost too slow) lawyers are mainly interested in document management and a few financials - sound boring? Worklife balance is about as good as it gets though - real 9-5ers. The cash is actually pretty respectable given that there's no travel expectation - flat structure, basically consultant/ senior consultant/ managing consultant/ associate director/ director:C- 40k-55k,SC- 55k - 80kMC - 80k - 110kAD - 110k - 180k
