Yes, I think there's some kind of govt legislation that lets you write off most of your debt under certain circumstances and pay back the rest at a ridiculously low rate

Yes, but it's a decision made by the creditor. They have to decide whether to take 40%, or to go for bang or bust. If they think you can pay they're not going to let you go easily...

So it's absolutely nothing like a CDS then! Sorry guys ,been out on a long lunch. Is the £42k bonus thread completely exhausted now. Does make you think what did she do exactly to get a £42k bonus just a year in after Uni????
