Hi everyone,I am new to this site and think it's fabulous. The advice everyone offers is really great and it's good to know there is a support network out there.I have just applied direct to Accenture in London for a junior analyst role in Human Performance. While I have 3 years leadership experience, I haven't really had any exposure to consulting before. The case study concept of interviewing is also completely foreign to me.Given I'm not particularly at good at having to present with little preparation, am I setting myself up for a major embarassment?

3 years leadership experience in industry? - you sure the junior analyst level is correct. Maybe if your idea of leadership is running an ice cream van for the last 3 years then this might be the right level.If you're a leader and you're papping it over a simple case study presentation then i think you might be barking up the wrong tree with consulting - especially when it's Human Performance, that's about as namby pamby soft-skilled focussed as it gets.

Are you deliberately trying to wind up those working in Human Performance? I thin kyou'll find it's pretty critical to almost everything nowadays....you can't implement anything without bringing the people with you! Re the original post - don't fret with case studies they are trying to test how you think, you may not have the right answer but will get to explore issues and solutions. Good luck!

Yes, most HP consultants end up in Pseuds corner in punch, as for skill, there is not any, your working with HR remember.

It's low-hanging fruit improving HR, but can you honestly say you wouldn't go insane having to talk to HR clients all day every day - regular clients are annoying enough when they know the difference between profit and loss, supply and demand.
