Hi all,I will be attending a Deloitte Assessment Day in the near future and was hoping that someone can provide a bit more insight into the essay component. Are the essay's marketing focussed in particular or very varied in topic?Also - do you present your case study or your essay to the interviewer? I am not clear as to which one needs to be presented.I would appreciate any thoughts!Thanks in advance.

Essay writing? Flipping heck, does your degree count for nothing?They put so many hoops and obstacles in the way, I'm surprised anyone actually bothers applying. Imagine if every employer had massive application forms with big empty boxes for "tell us about a time when..." type responses, then followed it up with essays, assessment days, endless interviews, etc.

Thanks for the tip - I will check out the Booz website.Snr Vice President - yes the essay is a new aspect that I have come across in the interview process but I guess they are just trying to get a view of candidates and all their various capabilities through these different situations on an Assessment Day. We will see how it goes and hope I can jump through the right hoops!
