I transferred into consultancy some 4 years ago from industry and although I’ve travelled a fair bit most has been within the UK and 2/3 days away at a time. Now I’m in a new job and I’m travelling much more, I need to buy some new luggage. Anyone got any products/tips they would recommend? How do you make sure your suit looks well pressed after a 8 hour flight? Do you wear it/have a suit carrier/get your mum to fold it in a special way and put into your luggage? Is there anything you’ve bought that makes your travelling life that much easier?

Hi FrioFully understand the issue here. I found buying my own jet helped me immensely. I had some wardrobes fitted in it which is good for keeping your suits in tip top condition. Unfortunately, you can't take the jet everywhere. In such circumstances I normally send my butler 24 hours in advance. This is also good as they can ensure pristine suits and shirts at the other end and take most of my luggage. Check hireabutler.com - I was married once and wife used to do this too for a free go at the minibar. Finally, tho' for when time is just too tight to organise jet or butler I resort to wearing suit. At this time of year I find a good Harris tweed is good as the jacket does for evenings too when you dress down in jeans and near on impossible to crease. I seem to remember a BEP tip from previous post which was to wear cords with a blackberry built in pouch.DC

My wife has ninja folding skills - can take enough shirts for a week in a rucksack or rollaway bag and they will all be perfectly tidy.Suggest if you are single then as for this on your match.com profile

PresB, Frio and DC you are all - clearly - missing the solution.I dont travel to clients. I have them moved to me, bricks, mortar, down to desk momentos and photos of their last stint on a Sandals holiday for the terminally s*x deprived. The Mountain does indeed come to Marshammed.
