Just your opinion of what doing tech consulting at ACN is like... work culture, future prospects, importance of the brand... any comment at all really...I guess what I really want to hear is, what you think the advantages and disadvantages of tech consulting vs strategy are?

This has to be among the most pointless posts I've read on here. You have an offer. Assuming its your only offer in hand accept it. Comparing it now to offers you don't even have is utterly pointless at best and at worst will simply undermine you when you start with Acn.
I've heard Accenture dropped their grad salary from £33K to £28.5K - that true?
I note the gad salary/bonus isn't published on the website breaking with 10 years of tradition which would maybe suggest it's been cut...What was your offer?

its not gone that low, still above 30k, with a reasonable sign on bonusignoring marsday's comment.... can anybody comment on the difference in ones future career prospects when joining a grad scheme in tech consulting vs strategy consulting...?... I've heard are strategy consultants are more sought after in general (for example) and can command better salaries?

Stay away from strategy. Unless of course you have an offer, then it can be very good. Otherwise, stay away.

You would be better placed to spend your energies asking about Acn, get as much as you can about the internal workings of Acn, the kind of projects you'll work on and so forth. What I was getting at is dont fall into the grass could be greener trap this early on. As for strat commanding better salaries, true to a point. But get enough experience in tech and it levels out as you move up your career - a tech star at Google or FB likely making as much as a MBB Partner and with something concrete to show for their effort too.
